Most Brits plan to shop online this Xmas
Almost all of us will be shopping online for Christmas presents this year, according to a new survey by eDigitalResearch and IMRG. The results of the latest e-Customer Service Index (eCSI) reveal that consumer confidence in online shopping has grown as 93 per cent of people plan to click online for their Christmas gifts this year, with more than a quarter planning to do more shopping online than last year.

While in the US Clearwire reportedly receives $1.5bn from its partners, Austria-based WiMAX Telecom is restructuring its debt and talking to potential investors, after filing for insolvency at the end of October. WiMAX Telecom, which is majority-owned by NextWave Wireless, has operations in Austria, Croatia, and Slovakia offering mainly fixed WiMax services at 3.5 GHz.

Burberry taps social media with trench coat site
Luxury goods group Burberry has hooked up with social networking company Facebook to launch a Web site celebrating its trench coat, becoming the latest retailer to use social media in a bid to boost its brand. The Web site, artofthetrench.com, will allow members connected via Facebook to submit images and stories about Burberry trench coats and share them with one other.
