Most mobile websites accessed from home
Nearly three-quarters of mobile internet users access the web from home. Demand for mobile commerce and mobile banking services is also growing sharply according to research released today by mobile ad network provider BuzzCity. Results show that, despite the perception of the mobile internet as something to be accessed on the go, 70% of respondents surf the internet at home from their mobile devices, while 11% browse while at work.

LG reveals world's first transparent phone
Sporting a transparent slide out keypad, the touch-sensitive hardware can also be used as a trackpad for easier internet navigation. When opened, the slide-out section is illuminated in a blue glow, which according to LG 'reflects the phone's sleek and polished silver body.'

Microsoft unveils Windows Phones With Marketplace & My Phone
Today at the Mobile World Congress, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO along with key mobile partners, HTC, LG and Orange, unveiled new Windows phones featuring new user-friendly software and services. These new Windows phones will be powered by the new Windows Mobile 6.5. Microsoft doesn't plan on releasing Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades or devices until the second half of 2009.

Mobile World Congress: Orange gets LG watch phone
Orange is set to be the first network operator to range LG’s forthcoming Touch Watch Phone (LG G910). The HSDPA-enabled device, which comes with a Bluetooth headset and features full touch screen and video calling will be available across Orange‘s western European markets later this year.
